SUMMARY:Ontario Dance Sport - Thornhill (Ontario Championship ODS Qualifier for 2023 CCC & WDSF Worlds)
DESCRIPTION:The Ontario Dancesport (ODS) is a non-profit organization based in Canada\, dedicated to promoting competitive Ballroom Dancing and DanceSport in Ontario and Canada. Even though ODS has been in existence for more than four decades\, it was officially incorporated as a non-profit entity on December 24th\, 1991. The goal of the organization is to create more awareness and engagement in Ballroom Dancing and DanceSport at local\, national\, and global levels. ODS is a member of the Canada DanceSport (CDS)\, which is itself a member of the World DanceSport Federation (WDSF). ODS arranges two significant annual events\, namely The Ontario Open Amateur Championship and The Ontario Closed Amateur Championship\, as well as sponsoring the Canadian Closed Amateur Championships on alternate years with other provincial DanceSport organizations. \n

DESCRIPTION:In 2010\, Inspire was launched with the goal of giving every child the chance to succeed through public performance. Our aim is to provide opportunities for all performers to feel accomplished\, regardless of their skill level. \nAlthough we do have winners and scores in this competition\, we believe that every effort is worthy of recognition. Each performance represents a moment in time where there are factors that are within and outside of the performer’s control. For example\, a performer cannot control who they are competing against or how hard that person has worked. Sometimes\, the competition may have a better execution\, but that does not diminish the bravery and effort that the performer put into their own performance. At Inspire\, we reward excellence\, but we also value every performer’s courage and hard work.
